Lot Information

Lot Description

Matrix S-Drive Performance Trainer is a user-driven, non-motorised cardio and strength machine designed for high-intensity interval training (HIIT), sprinting, and explosive athletic performance. IT combines a treadmill belt, a sled push mechanism (up to 122 kg resistance), and a parachute brake system (11 resistance settings) in a compact footprint. The machine supports sprinting, sled pushing, and resistance running, engaging multiple muscle groups for a full-body workout.

Benefits to Muscle Groups

  • Explosive Power and Strength: Sled pushes and high-resistance sprints build strength and power in the glutes, quads, and upper body, ideal for athletic performance.
  • Muscular Endurance: Sprinting and moderate-resistance parachute running enhance endurance in the legs and core, supporting longer workouts.
  • Full-Body Conditioning: Combines cardio and strength, engaging all major muscle groups for balanced development.
  • Low-Impact Option: The treadmill belt reduces joint stress compared to outdoor running, while still challenging muscles.
  • Functional Fitness: Mimics real-world movements (pushing, sprinting), improving coordination and sport-specific performance.

Main Muscle Groups Affected

The S-Drive’s versatile design targets different muscle groups depending on the mode of use (sprinting, sled pushing, or parachute resistance running). The primary muscle groups engaged are:

  1. Lower Body (Legs, Hips):
    • Quadriceps (Front of Thigh): Primary movers during sprinting and sled pushing, extending the knees to drive the treadmill belt or push against resistance.
    • Hamstrings (Back of Thigh): Assist in hip extension during sled pushes and knee flexion during the recovery phase of sprinting.
    • Glutes (Buttocks): Power hip extension in all modes, especially during explosive sprints and heavy sled pushes, contributing significant force.
    • Calves (Gastrocnemius and Soleus): Engage for ankle plantarflexion during sprinting and stabilise the ankles during sled pushes.
    • Hip Flexors (Iliopsoas): Active during sprinting to lift the knees, particularly at higher speeds or with parachute resistance.
  2. Core (Torso):
    • Rectus Abdominis and Obliques: Stabilise the torso during dynamic movements, especially when pushing the sled or maintaining posture against parachute resistance.
    • Transverse Abdominis: Provides core stability to transfer power between the upper and lower body, preventing excessive spinal movement.
    • Erector Spinae (Lower Back): Maintain spinal alignment during forward-leaning sled pushes and upright sprinting, supporting posture under load.
  3. Upper Body (Arms, Shoulders, Chest, Back):
    • Pectoralis Major (Chest): Engages during sled pushing, as the arms press against the handhold bar to drive the sled forward.
    • Deltoids (Shoulders): Stabilise the arms during sled pushes and contribute to arm swing in sprinting, maintaining balance and momentum.
    • Triceps Brachii (Back of Upper Arm): Extend the elbows during sled pushes, working against the resistance of the sled brake.
    • Latissimus Dorsi (Upper Back): Assist in stabilising the upper body during sled pushes and contribute to arm swing in sprinting.
    • Trapezius and Rhomboids (Upper Back/Shoulders): Stabilise the shoulder blades during sled pushes and maintain posture during high-intensity sprints.
    • Biceps Brachii and Forearms: Minimally engaged, mainly for gripping the handhold bar during sled pushes or stabilising the harness in parachute mode.
    • Overall Dimensions (Assembled): 195 cm (L) x 88.3 cm (W) x 150 cm (H) APPROX.
    • Product Weight: 122.5 kg APPROX.
